Subglottic Haemangioma

  • Characteristics: Congenital vascular lesion not present at birth but grows rapidly over the first few months of life.

Symptoms

  • Biphasic stridor
  • Tends to involute slowly after one year
  • 50% of patients have cutaneous haemangioma in the head and neck

Treatment

  • Systemic steroid, interlesional steroid, Propranolol
  • laser ablation, tracheostomy
