- Production of pus under tension
- Hyperaemic decalcification
- Osteoclastic resorption of bony walls
Symptoms
- Earache
- Fever
- Ear discharge
Signs
- Mastoid tenderness
- Sagging of posterosuperior meatal wall
- TM perforation
- Swelling over mastoid
- Hearing loss

- CT scan of temporal bones
- Ear swab for culture and sensitivity
