More common in children - progressive pharyngitis S.aureus ,Haemophilus , group A beta haemolytic sterptococcus , bacteroides

fever, cervical adenopathy stridor ,torticollis, drooling

Complication
- mediastnitis
- respiratry distress
- rupture abscess
Treatment:
- Transoral incision and drainge
- IV ABX
- INTUBATION
- Tracheotomy
