Concomitant ( non-paralytic ) Manifest

Characters:

  • Usually congenital & Most has its onset in childhood
  • Secondary angle = Primary angle
  • Angle of deviation is the same in all directions.
  • No Limitation of movements ie Extraocular muscles and nerves are grossly normal
  • No diplopia

ETIOLOGY

  • High Refractive errors - High degree of uncorrected refractive error in children may cause deviation of the most affected eye.

  • Ocular conditions- causing visual axis obstruction eg. cataract, corneal opacities, retinoblastoma, ROP, macular disease etc.
