A- Solid swellings: - Large submental LN. - Goiter of the thyroid isthmus & pyramidal lobe. - Peritrachreal & perilaryngeal LN. - Ectopic thyroid

B-Cystic swellings: - Thyroglossal cyst. - Dermoid cyst (submental or suprasternal). - Subhyoid bursitis. - Cysts in the thyroid gland. - Cold abscess, which is rare in the mid-line.
