They are most frequently seen in the cervical and lumbar regions. In general schwannomas appear as rounded lesions.
CT Scan:
Shows bone erosion, and the density is hypo to slightly hyperdense.
MRI:
- T1 - 75% are isointense
- T2 - more than 95% are hyperintense
- T1 C+ (Gd) - virtually 100% enhance.
