Uses
- Drug of choice in filarial infection of the eye (loa loa)
- Alternate drug in elephantiasis.
Side Effects
- headache,malasie,weakness,nausea
- reaction to dying filaria includes: fever, rash, ocular damage, joint pain and lymphangitis - Mazzotti reactions; occular damage / fever
