Massive hemothorax
- Accumulation of >1.5L of blood
- Cause: Disruption of large vessel
- Flat neck vein
- Dullness on percussion
- No breath sound on auscultation
- Shock
- Management:
- Chest tube in 5th space.
- Fluid resuscitation.
- Thoracotomy if significant bleeding continues.
