Stridor
- Stridor: A high-pitched wheezing sound resulting from turbulent airflow in the upper airway.
- Snoring: A low-pitch sound caused by tissue vibration of the nasopharynx, pharynx, and soft palate due to obstruction above the larynx.
Types of Stridor
- Inspiratory Stridor: Supraglottic, glottic obstruction
- Expiratory Stridor: Trachea (lower)
- Biphasic Stridor: Subglottic obstruction
