Strabismus Conditions
Types of Strabismus
- Esotropia:
- Characterized by an inward deviation of the eyes.
- Illustrated in the first image (A) with the left eye turned inward.
- Also shown in the third image (A) where both eyes are looking straight ahead but one eye is deviated inward when the other is covered.
- Exotropia:
- Characterized by an outward deviation of the eyes.
- Illustrated in the second image (B) with the left eye turned outward.
- Also shown in the fourth image (B) where the covered eye drifts outward when uncovered.
