IBD  

is more common in patients with a family history of either Crohn’s disease or UC

Colorectal cancer

in a first-degree relative increases the risk of colorectal cancer and polyps.

Gilbert’s syndrome

is an autosomal dominant condition

Haemochromatosis and Wilson’s disease

are autosomal recessive disorders

Hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasias 

 a rare AD disorder causing vascular dysplasia and results in a tendency for bleeding.

  • Porphyria is a familial disorder presenting with acute abdominal pain,

  • Gaucher’s disease: a rare AR inherited lipid disorder, characterized by huge splenomegaly
