Most hemangiomas are asymptomatic and discovered accidentally.
Plain film:
Findings include: sclerotic vertebra with prominent trabecular pattern, and vertical trabeculae.
CT:
Usually as an incidental finding. Better visualization of thickened vertical trabeculation.
MRI:
Signal intensity is somewhat variable, depending largely on the amount of fat content.
- T1: high is more common (fat rich).
- T2: high.
