- How long have you had the cough?
- Do you cough up anything? What? How much?
- Have you had sinus problems? Recent URTI
- Is the sputum clear or discoloured? Is there any blood in the sputum?
- Have you had high temperatures?
- Does coughing occur particularly at night (acid reflux)? indigestion or coughing after meals?
- Have you become short of breath?
- Have you had lung problems in the past? Wt loss
- Have you been a smoker? Do you still smoke?
- Have you noticed wheezing? (Asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease [COPD])?
- Do you take any tablets? (e.g. ACE inhibitors)Z
